England's First Mosque
Thirty years before the first Muslim seamen's boarding houses made headlines, a purpose-built mosque opened on a quiet street in Woking — funded by a woman ruling a state in central India. This film reconstructs the world of the Shah Jahan Mosque: the converts, the soldiers buried on Horsell Common, and the day in 2018 when England gave it the same protection as its cathedrals.
